UMG alumnus and international indie recording artist, Shade Sheist, brings in another new year with a brand-new single entitled “Back N The Building.” The Dexter Wansel-interpolated smooth groove sees Shade once again wearing his producer’s cap in a collaborative effort with French composer Hugo Fornacciari, professionally known as HUGZ. The record is the second single from Shade Sheist’s upcoming solo album “BLACKOPS” and premieres today simultaneously on MTV.com, Xbox Music, Pandora Radio and the newly-relaunched Myspace social network. An audio-visual supplement is available on YouTube and fans can now download the single for free from Shade Sheist’s official website.
The multi-platinum songwriter, widely regarded for his famed #1 Billboard single “Where I Wanna Be” with Nate Dogg and Kurupt, has also returned to his acting roots and stars in the upcoming film “The Company We Keep.” The romantic comedy is set in the present day music industry, features Shade Sheist as himself and is directed by the son of a major league baseball legend, Roy Campanella II. The film has already been featured in the Pan African Film Festival and won the ‘Best Feature Film Award’ at the Urban Mediamakers Film Festival. “The Company We Keep” will see a limited theater, cable television and DVD release this year.
