GlobalMusic4 Life introduces life-saving information through Hip Hop music.
BROOKLYN, NY. – GlobalMusic4 Life is creating a new form of Hip Hop music to be used in the educational system. This program is designed to give students a means to understand and learn about the major health crises affecting today’s youth – obesity and diabetes.
GlobalMusic4 Life (GM4L) is committed to bringing healthy education to the youth of America, through hip hop and rap music. GM4L reaches out to these young people through the meshing of music and medicine via their Mobile App download (available for iPad, iPhone, Blackberry, and Android). Students can readily play the music with their MP3 players or smart phone. Each month GM4L will produce new songs with known artists and make these songs available for free for the first two weeks. The lyrics will give everyone access to free healthcare information about the diseases that could affect your body, such as youth obesity, diabetes, and teenage heart disease. Music videos and games are also available.
Obesity is the most prevalent nutritional disorder among children and adolescents in the United States. Approximately 21-24% of American children and adolescents are overweight, and another 16-18% is obese. GM4L combats these issues by incorporating high quality music, educational lyrics, and healthy food identification and includes it into the school’s curriculum. A team of highly respected doctors and nutritional chefs have joined with GM4L to provide the necessary elements to make this an all-encompassing plan of action.
“We fervently believe GM4L will save lives and provide for a better and healthier future. By integrating GM4L into the school systems, we can provide fun, hip, educational challenges to our children. We must be deliberate in addressing these issues earlier in life because today’s unhealthy children are tomorrow’s unhealthy adults.” Dr. Kiki Hurt
