Rap newcomer Wiz Khalifa was arrested last night on drug charges in North Carolina after police allegedly spotted him with marijuana upon entering his tour bus.

Details on the arrest hit the Internet Tuesday (November 9) morning.

Buzzing rapper, Wiz Khalifa was arrested for the possession of marijuana. During the morning early hours of Tuesday, he was arrested when he made an attempt to board his touring bus. This happened after he finished his show at East Carolina University. Many American websites reported that the 23-year-old rapper was charged in Greenville, North Carolina. (MJB News Online)

The “Black and Yellow” rapper was charged with a felony count of trafficking in marijuana, a felony count of maintaining a dwelling/vehicle/place for sale or storage of marijuana and one misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. Nine other people were arrested along with Khalifa on the same charges and were still in jail at press time. (MTV)
Following the arrest, Wiz reportedly posted a $300,000 bond.

Various media reports said Mr. Khalifa was arrested after a show at East Carolina University. The Associated Press reported Mr. Khalifa posted bond early today after spending several hours in the Pitt County Detention Center in Greenville. Several other people were arrested with him. (Post-Gazette)
