Hey, hey, hey VIPs! I hope you all are having a wonderful Friday! Is anyone planning something good for your mom (or anyone who was like a mom) for Mother’s Day this Sunday? Did you know that Mother’s Day was founded in 1908 by a woman named Anna Jarvis? It was originally started as a “mother’s day work club” to help women learn to better care for their children.

It because a US holiday in 1914, but Miss Jarvis, who never had children of her own, spent the rest of her life trying to have it removed from the calendar because she hated how it had become commercialized. She died in 1948, having disowned the holiday all together.

While we are talking about being disowned, have you heard about Kobe Bryant and his mom fighting over some memorabilia that he supposedly gave her? Apparently, he left a bunch of stuff with her, including is 1998 All-Star ring, some jerseys, trophies and other priceless things five years ago. Now she wants to sell it all to an auction house for $450K for a new house. Kobe had offered to buy his parents a new home, but it wasn’t the price tag Mama Bryant wanted, so it appears that this might have been a vindictive move. Everything is tied up in court and a judge has ruled for now that the items can’t be sold. A hearing is set for next Monday. I don’t think she’ll be getting any flowers this weekend.

Terrance Howard’s divorce is final and dude pretty much got out of it without any damage. He got the Range Rover, 2 houses and all 25 bank accounts. You know what she got? A bike and a BMW. His ex-wife filed for divorce in February 2011, barely a year after the wedding, claiming that he was physically abusive toward her. Terrance said that she was racist.com. He’s been ordered to pay her $8,500 a month in spousal support for the next three years. Here’s to being single!

So Michael Jackson is being sued in his grave… Yep. Anybody remember watching MTV’s Making the Video? Any time that Britney Spears or N’Sync showed up, you could bet that Wade Robeson was choreographing the dance. He was just every-freaking-where. That includes MJ’s house when he was 7. According to some new reports, Wade has been depressed and out of work while recovering from a nervous breakdown over some “recessed” memories of Michael molesting him from the ages of 7 to 14. Some of you may remember the big 2005 trial that MJ went through, where Wade testified to the contrary. A former housekeeper of MJ’s testified that she recalled the two of them in the shower when Wade was 8 or 9 years old. I’m calling bull just because he can’t even get the word “repressed” right but I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.

Finally… I couldn’t just leave without giving you this. I know that the situation in itself is not funny and I’m glad that Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight were found alive after being missing for a decade, but seriously…this is what happens when you talk to news cameras. Charles Ramsey is now a local hero and managing local rappers. Get in where you fit in, I guess.

Alright guys, that’s all I have for you today. Thanks for stopping by and as always, stay tuned to MegaCity VIP for all your hip hop entertainment and music promotion needs.
