New Jersey Phenomenon Is Taking Over With “Off the Charts: Volume One”

SOUTH ORANGE, NJ – Hip Hop’s rising star is at it again and this time it will be Off the Charts. On August 6th, Matt Chris released his latest mixtape and it has been a chart-topper. Fans have been buzzing about the project for months, mostly because it has received heavy promotion on the homepage of datPiff.com. There has also been a lot of excitement about the lead single, “So For Sure” featuring Jadakiss. The two powerhouses teamed up to create what is sure to be this summer’s hottest club banger.

Another accomplishment for Matt Chris has been his viral music videos. His latest release “Try to Make It Love” quickly jumped to a quarter million views on YouTube. Viewers were raving about the video’s production quality, advanced cinematography, and of course the video vixens.

Although Matt is enjoying his recent success, life has not always been easy for the twenty-eight year old rapper, most New Jersey residents remember him from a highly publicized news story his family was involved in. When he was only seven years old he came home from school to a swarm of news reporters talking to his mother. Matt’s mother had made a real estate deal with two dishonest attorneys and was taken for over a large lump sum of money. The ordeal caused the family to go into foreclosure and become homeless.

Matt’s music has got him through a lot of tough times and he raps about it in his new mixtape. When asked for his thoughts on the excitement from Off the Charts: Volume One, Matt Chris had this to say, “My music is my life. When I get in the studio I try to put out my deepest emotions. I have made it my personal destiny to get hip hop back to what it should be about… lyrics”.

Matt Chris is currently gearing up for his fall tour. To learn more about Matt Chris visit www.MattChris.com
