Gary Indiana Rap Group Is Seen Weekdays on CBS Sports College Football
GARY, IN – It’s not often that you think of Gary, Indiana as a breeding ground for rap artists, but the rap group Number 1 Playaz has changed everything. On September 5th CBS Sports launched a new College Football season and the first thing viewers saw was their new intro. The video is packed with hard-hitting tackles, acrobatic catches, and the music of the Number 1 Playaz. The group can be seen rapping and dancing throughout the video which was filmed at the famous Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, CA.
This is not the first time CBS has called on the trio for a video. Last year they recorded a song for Indiana University basketball star Cody Zeller. The record became an instant hit on campus and soon caught the attention of CBS Sports. The producers reached out to the group and used it on an episode of Inside College Basketball.
All this notoriety did not come without hard work. The group earned the spotlight from years of opening up for artists like Yo Gotti, Soulja Boy, and Future. When asked for his thoughts on the excitement from their new music, front-man Playo had this to say, “We are truly blessed to have the best fans in the world. We have been getting love from sports enthusiasts and rap fans since the video aired. The Number 1 Playaz are on the rise and we will not stop until we reach the top!”
Number 1 Playaz is currently gearing up for their new mixtape release which features fellow Indiana rap star Freddie Gibbs. To learn more about Number 1 Playaz visit www.twitter.com/Number1Playaz
